Tibet, officially the Tibet Autonomous Region, is one of the five autonomous regions that, together with the twenty-two provinces, four municipalities and two special administrative regions, make up the People's Republic of China (the autonomous regions are characterized by being associated with ethnic groups minorities). Its capital is Lhasa.
